Update

Writing a book about ninjas and im almost to 40K words need to hit 50K by end of April and as you can see by the date if that shows up.

You know I don't proofread

either way I will be pounding the keys until that happens.

Japan is fucking crazy

Japan is fucking crazy, but you already knew that.

Were you aware that Japan has people who fight spiders for the purpose of keeping tradition alive?
No?
Why not?

That sounds crazy you might say.
I agree I would say.
There is no way that could exist you might say.
I would shake my finger and say internet says different, I say.
To which you would say: Say what? you say.

Ok enough poorly written dialogue Heres spiders fighting:

Japanese Spider Fights

I found this out while doing research on spiders in Japan- spoiler alert
Japan has huge spiders:

Nephila clavata, also known as the Jorō Spider (ジョロウグモ(女郎蜘蛛、上臈蜘蛛) Jorō-gumo?), is a member of the golden orb-web spider group. The spider can be found throughout Japan except Hokkaidō, in KoreaTaiwan and China. Due to the large size as well as the bright, unique colors of the species of the female Nephila, the spider is well-favored in Japan.
Recently scientists have confirmed the first known occurrence of N. clavata in North America.

Isn't that great North America? Now we too can have something else to fear.
on a more disgusting note and in addition to my research on how bat shit crazy Japan is:
So I'm assuming it's the same spider, though not a spider expert and also rice doesn't make these things appetizing. Just imagining the crunch of a hard shelled cricket between my teeth, leaving shell fragments to be dug out later with floss makes me want to vomit.

Oh spoiler alert:
I just vomited.

Looking at this picture + my imagination is enough to make a human throw up and people eat this. Not only do they eat this, but I'm assuming they pay money to eat these things.
Hold on let me check.

Ok so these pictures are just some guy, Shoichi Uchiyama, who has too much time on his hands, who made a recipe book for people who would like to cook, (or mash into rice or whatever), this shit on their own.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/picturegalleries/howaboutthat/3526527/Insect-sushi-creepy-crawly-cuisine.html

But probably slightly less gross is this Bug Restaurant where it appears they actually cook or fry the creatures before you devour them. I didn't read the article because of the pictures and I won't post any more nasty shit on this page. Either way that falls into the category of NOPE!

Either way there's a lot of history and other cool shit in Japan that isn't strange and the Japanese people get a bad wrap because, well they do a lot of crazy shit. Im sure I will post more about how crazy Japan is like selling used underwear out of a vending machine or a penis worshipping festival.

Once I get enough money to do Japan properly which means spend like a month there going to the different islands and match the falling dollar to the Japanese Yen then I will have plenty of great pictures and stories of all the weird shit I tried whilst there.
(is it whilst? Do people still use that? Or did that die once the internet was invented.)
I do plan on trying this:

and having the wife try some condom ice cream.

until then smell some assess:

Day trading

The stock market is a crazy crazy craaaazy place. just ask Stock Twits which is basically a twitter feed for the stock market. Most of the people on there are out of their fucking minds or just talk shit to each other, but you can find a pulse for which stocks may have high volume when trading.

This is an accurate representation of most trading situations:

Now without wasting time talking about technical sides of trading to become a day trader you need a few qualifications:

  1. A face possibly containing eyes to watch various computer screens bounce numbers across them all day.
  2. Hands or a similar way to input items into buy or sell orders.
  3. A solid strategy.
  4. And the most important = cash!

Now the final one is the hardest to come by and riskiest by far to maintain, because anyone starting out could end up losing money while trading- very common and you have to keep plugging away. The first few days I did this I had stocks dip down too low for my own tastes-

but luckily after market correction they popped back up and I got out with some nice profits. A few others I had to hold onto for a few days- which becomes more of a swing trading situation- but still can be profitable.

Once I joined a trading chatroom, (after lucky moves and stupid moves) developed a strategy and really studied charts and graphs this could be a viable source of income in just a few hours a day.
[If anyone is actually reading this I got in on the ground floor of this one guy who started a trader chat room and he is looking to expand the room to over 100 people who pass ideas back and forth. Right now it is 100% free- hopefully staying that way- and consistency is king. Email me or follow WillToTrade on twitter to ask about the chat room.]

He knows the terrifying secret:

I was skeptical because there is a lot of bullshit and bait and switch situations (seriously anyone offering some free downloadable resources will spam the shit out of you but that is in any industry really) but he has been right everyday- not EVERY stock, but damn close to 90% which is madness if you know anything about trading results.
There are other rooms that charge (small amounts comparatively) and seem to have positive results:
Claytrader
Enhanced Investor
I have not used either of them but follow their calls on Stocktwits and unless they are lying they seem to be pretty accurate. Claytrader also has a wealth of free videos I suggest watching if you are interested. He is big into options and I know nothing about it and can't tell you more. Again nothing gained for me, just spreading news. Due Diligence is key and each strategy may not work for each person. I have not grasped the concept of a successful short sale trade and have not implemented one.

But the room I'm in has a tendency to be conservative looking for a daily total of 10% returns on money invested. Some people in the room held on after sell alerts and made serious profit. Again I am not pitching this- I have zero stake in what he is doing but I feel that it is bullshit that there is money to be made and all the nonsense in the media is directing people to hate each other and live in fear when simple rules to advance your life can be made if you pay attention to the right things and focus on simple statistics and basic math. (don't get me started on the media)

What sucks tremendously is the amount of cash you need to actually day trade. you need to have at least 25K in your account to make trades during the course of the day with a buy and sell of the same stock. FINRA the governing board of securities which imposes this amount much like 'the man' keeping you down. It sounds funny but I'm serious- there seems to me limited legit reasons why a person would be able to buy a stock for over a day with any bank account and not sell it the same day with the same amount of risk/reward.

There are a few ways around this plus you are allowed 4 of these trades within a 5 day period so use them wisely. Also google other options and be careful some sites are sketchy.
Interactive Brokers is a great platform that has some loopholes for this but if this is something that is interesting to you and you have 5K to invest in the market and some money just wasting time in a bank savings earning 1% or something stupid like that take it out and stash it into the account and DON'T USE IT.

I will stress this again because greed is tempting and I have fell victim to this myself. I could have sold for a profit of $900 on a particular stock and waited because I'm like it's going up - boom dropped back down to almost break even point. Now it has become a long hold stock tying up funds that could be better invested. Be conservative- don't get greedy and be ready to pounce- the market is volatile.

ONLY INVEST WITH MONEY YOU ARE WILLING TO LOSE OR COMFORTABLE TAKING A LOSS ON!!!

This is important it is still 'gambling' but not in the sense you put down $100 and it hits you make $100 or lose it all. Plus you have more to go on than random chance.

So using our example before- say you have an IRA doing nothing or some bank accounts for rainy day funds- deposit that shit into a reputable brokerage- Etrade, Scottrade, TD Ameritrade(I use this), Interactive Brokers and then leave it there do not touch it.
5K current balance + 20K in funds you won't use now.

10,000 shares of a cheap stock at .20c will cost $2,000
If it goes up .02c you have made $200
If it goes up .05c you have made $500
If it goes up .10c you have made $1000

You get the idea. Keep in mind sometimes the lower the price the more risky, more volatile it will be.
I like the $1- $6 range because they have volatility but are less likely to plummet immediately.
If you can afford it go higher but always watch news, charts, financials and learn before you jump in.

Update

So besides being lazy I have been busy and haven't updated this in like a month. Really a month? damn I suck. well I can't go back in time...or can I???

Sometimes personal ads are still an untapped way to go.
Serious people use this to stay off the internet radar!
PRECAUTION!!!
Nope it didn't work. But I did meet some new friends and learn about some really cool future weapons. Tin foil and cardboard are going to be Huuuuuge in future wars.

So i tried that route and a month later-success!

No! Stop pointing out plot holes! The Harry Potter series is a true triumph for our generation and has anyone seen Hermione now?

good lawd that is sexy- I wanna taste that.

Is that like a S'mores flavored ice blended coffee drink. Holy shit I'm in love.

Also there is a site that features celebrities in yoga pants
I don't know if that's all they do but either way - genius idea!

Holy tangents. I need to refill my Adderall prescription. What the hell was I talking about?
Oh right- the reason I get distracted and don't blog regularly.

I found a new love for day trading.
Actually it is really just a rekindled love of making money except this time I use money instead of blood sweat and tears to make more money. Simple concept right?
So say the system peddlers.

Luckily I found a group where people send out alerts to what stocks to watch for and try to jump on them when they break out of resistance hitting new highs on the day. I have been successful so far so if this trend keeps going I will be able to post more often and write more as well without the struggle of a real job.

This leaves more time open to writing. I have been using a few systems for basic and more complex outlining. There is a wealth of info so maybe I'll do a separate post on good outlining sites later.

Either way I'm working on a Middle Grade project that tells the story of a boy who loses his arm and then gets shipped off to a ninja academy to hunt down the mystical 10 swords from Japanese mythology.
Sounds cool right?

While I wait on the verification process this guy approves:

I haven't put as much thought into the logline so bear with me since that is kinda weak but I feel like I want to get out another blog post since I've been slacking and I don't have time to make everything great so the free shit will have to suffer while the paid stuff (hopefully) will be good!

That's a solid increase so really not doing too much. I honestly can't remember the last time I went on instagram even though I take like 1000 pictures of my dog. But she's busy editing her own project. Plus her instagram has a lot more followers than mine:
